Wasini Island Dolphin Dhow Tour.
It is home to over 200 dolphins.
Pick up from your hotel in Mombasa at 5:30 hrs or 7:00 hrs in Diani. Drive to the main land fishing village of Shimoni. Shimoni means a place with holes in Swahili language. It was named after the huge caves which were used to store slaves in the early centuries before they were exported abroad. The caves are now museum (historical cites). It’s worth visiting for the rich history.
Then travel by boat, mostly a “motorized dhow” to Kisite- Mpunguti marine park. It is a protected zone under KWS. It is a perfect zone under Kenya wildlife service KWS. You stand a chance to spot three types of dolphins: spinner,hump back and bottle- nosed dolphins.
Proceed to Kisite island, a tiny island on a coral reef. Enjoy snorkeling or diving and reef walk.
Fish species include: Trigger fish, moray eels, wrasses, damsel fish, parot fish, scorpion fish, puffer fish, rays, white,red snappers, green sea turtle and howksbill turtle.
Afterwards visit the island of Wasini which is only 300 metres from the main land. Enjoy food of your choice at a Swahili restaurant. For see food lovers we have snappers “changu”, sea grass,rice cooked with coconut source “wali wa nazi”.

Back to the main land, drive to your hotel arriving at 16:30 hrs for those in Diani and 15:30 hrs for those in Mombasa.
